Title: Travel RN – Telemetry
Location: Alexandria, Louisiana 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Every other weekend

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients (not a stepdown unit)
• Independently manage routine and complex patient care in a telemetry setting
• Perform patient assessments, diagnosis, care planning, interventions, and evaluations
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient response and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and nursing care provided
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and resources
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately to support patient care management
• Follow ANA standards and Client nursing competencies

Requirements:

• Active RN License in state of employment or Compact License required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Preferences:

• Experience with cardiac and telemetry patient populations preferred
• Prior telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Temp-to-perm interest preferred
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: approximately 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
