Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN-OR) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will independently assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Provide safe and effective nursing interventions throughout the perioperative process.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare team members.
- Monitor patient status and respond rapidly to changing clinical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and patient safety protocols.
- Utilize critical thinking and sound nursing judgment to prioritize patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Adhere to California Nursing Practice Act, ANA Standards of Practice, and organizational policies.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Previous Operating Room experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Associate Degree required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
