Essential Functions:

  • Perform organic chemistry syntheses in a manufacturing environment.
  • Follow written production documents and execute manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of products and manufacturing materials.
  • Apply scientific knowledge of products and their applications to support production and suggest process improvements.
  • Produce and analyze reagents, components, and finished products according to manufacturing plans.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods using ERP systems.
  • Analyze and interpret scientific data.
  • Utilize specialized technical and scientific skills as required.
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Coordinate resources with internal and external teams to support operational needs.
  • Participate in team activities such as scheduling, conflict resolution, and team-building initiatives.
  • Identify manufacturing issues, investigate root causes, perform experiments, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, including Batch Data Records, notebooks, work orders, and reports.
  • Review, revise, and create process documentation to ensure efficient, reproducible, and quality manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and continuously improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Promote and communicate quality-focused practices within the team.
  • Support department goals related to quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through training, seminars, and educational opportunities.
  • Participate in investigations and experiments to resolve product or process failures.
  • Work with planning and purchasing teams to develop and execute manufacturing schedules.
  • Optimize the use of team resources, materials, and production time.
  • Understand and interpret the scientific principles behind manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) and process development activities in partnership with R&D and Manufacturing Sciences.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) guidelines.

  • Ability to support product development, product introduction, and team management activities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management processes.

Minimum Qualifications: (must have)Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (preferred) or equivalent disciplines. Minimum 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.

* Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry
