Job Title: Formulation Technician I/Histopathology Technician
Location: West Sacramento, CA
Duration: 6 Months+
Pay Rate: $35/hr. on W2
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm (Flexible by an hour or so)

Description: This role is opening as a Histopathology Technician.

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for histological procedures in an accredited CAP/CLIA laboratory.
•Assistance in the gross room, accessioning, cassette and slide labeling.
•Ability to work efficiently without much supervisory direction over hours as needed.
•Prepares tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis and further complex testing.
•Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures.
•Demonstrates knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance programs.
•Investigates documents, communicates and resolves needs, problems or complaints.
•Performs area-specific support/clinical activities.
•Train other testing personnel

Qualifications and Experience:
•High School Graduate or equivalent
•3 years’ experience in a Histopathology Laboratory preferred.
•License/Certification: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) or eligible for either certification.
