Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care in a Pediatric Outpatient Clinic. The nurse will support physicians and clinical staff by delivering direct patient care, assisting with examinations and treatments, administering medications and immunizations, documenting patient information, and educating patients and families. The ideal candidate should have pediatric outpatient or clinic experience, excellent communication skills, and an active nursing license.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, height, weight, and other assessments.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient visits and minor procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, immunizations, and vaccines following physician orders.
• Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, wound care, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report any changes or concerns to the provider.
• Educate patients and parents/guardians on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR).
• Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, prescription refills, and follow-up care.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with infection prevention and safety standards.
• Adhere to HIPAA, infection control policies, and all clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, front office staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN License
• Pediatric outpatient or pediatric clinic experience preferred
• Experience with patient assessments and vital signs
• Medication administration and immunization experience
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) documentation
• Current BLS Certification (preferred/typically required)
