Duties:
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient functional status.
Job Responsibilities:
-Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients.
-Asses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors.
-Documents steps of the nursing process.
-Utilizes proper medical terminology. Addresses problems and progress toward goals.
-Facilitates patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
-Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate.
-Supports unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities as evidenced by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports.
-Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
–Working Relationship:
-Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise).
-Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise).
-Has input on performance evaluations but does not prepare or give.
-Works directly with patients and/or customers.
-Works with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
-Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
-Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
-Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.

-Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.

Schedule Notes: Position Type: Direct Hire Facility Name: Yale Campus Pay Range:*** Shift/Schedule Details: Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Incentives (Sign-on Bonus / Relocation):Up to ***K for eligible candidates (must live outside a 71-mile radius and commit to a 2-year agreement) Additional Notes (if any): Unit Details: 20 Labor & Delivery rooms 11 OB triage rooms 3 surgical suites 350 deliveries per month 40% high-risk cases Second highest delivery hospital in Oklahoma Requirements: Strong preference for candidates with L&D experience; however, candidates with 2 years of hospital nursing experience in other acute care areas may be considered due to limited L&D availability. Non-L&D candidates must have strong hospital experience and a clear interest in transitioning into Labor & Delivery. Because orientation is approximately 5 months for those without L&D experience, we are seeking candidates who are committed to the specialty and demonstrate a genuine passion for maternal care and long-term growth within L&D.
