Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the Scrum process, ensuring that all Scrum events are optimally organized and conducted.
- Mentoring the Development Team and the Product Owner on the principles and practices of Scrum, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities within the framework.
- Serving the Scrum Team by removing impediments to their progress, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed, and protecting them from external distractions.
- Ensuring that the Scrum Team adheres to the values, principles, and practices of Scrum.
- Resolving conflicts within the team and facilitates constructive communication and collaboration among team members.
- Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the team and the organization.
- Acting as a liaison between the Scrum Team and stakeholders, ensuring that stakeholders understand the progress of the project and providing transparency into the development process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related study.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments, with a deep understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to lead by example, empower team members, and encourage a culture of self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex impediments and issues hindering the team's progress.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation, with the ability to handle challenging situations and foster constructive dialogue among team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in effectively managing relationships with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- At least one Scrum Certification like scaled certification (SAFe 5, SCRUM Master), PSMI, AGILE PM Consultant (SPC), or other advanced Agile certifications is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including conveying complex ideas clearly and effectively, facilitating meetings, and influencing decision-making.
Note:
- The team is looking to hire 2 people for this position.
- One of the scrum master will support a Europe based team.
- The ideal candidate will have to work based on European time zone.
Work Location:
- This will be a remote role within Canada.
- However during special events or workshops, the selected worker will be require to visit the Mississauga campus.
