Occupational Therapist Assistant

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 8-hour shifts; may include Saturdays
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Assist patients in improving functional abilities and achieving rehabilitation goals.

• Monitor patient progress and report findings to the Occupational Therapist.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.

• Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Active California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification/license.

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient occupational therapy experience.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
