Job Responsibilities:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform patient assessments and identify priorities for care.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Administer treatments and bedside point-of-care testing as required.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Develop and update patient care plans.
• Assess discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication for continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure patient care environment.
• Support professional development and unit goals.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required (per schedule notes).

Education:

• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program.

Licenses:

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License.

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NIHSS
