Job: Customer Service Associate Representative
Location: Remote, IL
Duration: 04 Month Contract
Pay Rate: $20.14/hr. on w2
Position Summary:
- We are seeking a Customer Service Associate Representative to support the underwriting process by conducting phone interviews with insurance applicants and completing medical questionnaires.
- This role is responsible for verifying application information, documenting responses accurately, and ensuring all underwriting requirements are completed in a timely manner.
- The ideal candidate has strong customer service and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound phone interviews with insurance applicants.
- Complete medical questionnaires and verify application information.
- Accurately document applicant responses within underwriting systems.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive medical information.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during every interaction.
- Meet established quality, productivity, attendance, and call performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with applicants to obtain complete and accurate information.
- Utilize multiple systems to document and process underwriting information.
- Follow underwriting procedures, call scripts, and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the verification process.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- High-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work scheduled hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM CST, based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of call center or customer service experience.
- Prior insurance or underwriting support experience.
- Experience communicating using medical terminology.
- Knowledge of life or health insurance products.
