Pay Rate: $20.14/hr. on w2

Position Summary:

  • We are seeking a Customer Service Associate Representative to support the underwriting process by conducting phone interviews with insurance applicants and completing medical questionnaires.
  • This role is responsible for verifying application information, documenting responses accurately, and ensuring all underwriting requirements are completed in a timely manner.
  • The ideal candidate has strong customer service and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound phone interviews with insurance applicants.
  • Complete medical questionnaires and verify application information.
  • Accurately document applicant responses within underwriting systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive medical information.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during every interaction.
  • Meet established quality, productivity, attendance, and call performance metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants to obtain complete and accurate information.
  • Utilize multiple systems to document and process underwriting information.
  • Follow underwriting procedures, call scripts, and company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the verification process.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • High-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM CST, based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of call center or customer service experience.
  • Prior insurance or underwriting support experience.
  • Experience communicating using medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of life or health insurance products.
