Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Schedule: 3 days/week, 12 hours/day, 36 hours/week, Every Other Weekend Required, Holidays Required, Float Required
Pay Range: $50-$54/hr.
Schedule Notes:
- Must have active NJ License
- 1+ year of recent experience working as a licensed RRT required
- 1+ year of ICU experience required
- Previous experience with ventilators required
- Must be willing to float to Adult ICU, Intermediate Care, and Basic Intermediate Care floors
- 13-week contract

Required Skills & Experience:
- 1+ year of recent experience as a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- 1+ year of ICU experience
- Previous ventilator experience
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
- Strong accountability, teamwork, and patient-focused care
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- PALS
- Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care License
- Current and valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification
Job Summary:
- Provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under medical direction.
- Performs respiratory therapy treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and patient care.
- Assists with intubation and ventilator setup/management.
- Evaluates patient needs through assessment, testing, and consultation with healthcare professionals.
- Educates patients and caregivers regarding respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient care goals.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Duties:
- Provide respiratory therapy services for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Assist with intubation procedures and ventilator management.
- Gather and evaluate patient information to determine respiratory care needs.
- Develop rapport with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Provide and document patient/caregiver education.
- Adhere to departmental policies and organizational standards.
- Maintain required physical demands and professional interactions.
