Job Summary:
- The MES Support – Nights role provides overnight support for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in a production environment.
- This person will help keep manufacturing lines running by responding to MES issues, supporting users on the production floor, and escalating problems when needed.
- The role works closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT to support night shift production.
Responsibilities:
- Provide night shift support for MES-related issues on the production floor.
- Respond to system problems that impact manufacturing and help restore normal operation.
- Troubleshoot basic MES issues such as transaction failures, equipment connection issues, label printing problems, and user access concerns.
- Support operators and production teams with MES questions and system use.
- Escalate more complex issues to the appropriate teams and help track resolution.
- Monitor MES activity during the shift and report issues that may affect production.
- Document incidents, actions taken, and important updates for handoff to the next shift.
- Assist with line startups, changeovers, and general production support as needed.
- Follow site safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Be available to work on-site during night shift hours and adapt to production needs.
Qualifications:
- Basic experience with MES or other manufacturing systems preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or technical support environment preferred.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams.
- Comfortable using computers, applications, and basic system tools.
- Able to work independently and manage issues during off-shift hours.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with MES systems such as Rockwell FPTC, Camstar, or Client Opcenter.
- Basic SQL or database knowledge.
- Experience supporting production lines or shop floor systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment or PLC-related environments.
