Job Title: Patient Services Representative II (Phlebotomist)
Location: Ocala, FL
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8 or 10-hour shifts between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM; rotational Saturdays
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is responsible for collecting blood specimens, processing samples for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, and forensic specimen collections.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive patient experience.
- Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Travel between multiple locations as needed and maintain schedule flexibility.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Strong customer service and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record required.
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic training, or Phlebotomy Certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
- Patient Service Center experience preferred.
Additional Information:
- Floaters will travel between multiple sites and may receive mileage reimbursement.
- Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
