Phlebotomist I (PSR I)
Newtown, CT
Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (1-hour unpaid meal break)
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $21/hour

Job Summary:
The PSR I serves as the primary patient contact, performing blood draws, specimen collection, processing, and data entry while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and patient confidentiality. This role requires strong phlebotomy and customer service skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Provide excellent patient service and create a professional environment
• Follow safety, quality, and confidentiality standards
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)
• Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong data entry and customer service skills
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed
