Position: Phlebotomist – Inpatient

Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience with direct patient contact
- Inpatient Phlebotomy experience required
- High-volume blood draw experience required
- English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- High School Diploma or GED
- ASCP Certification preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections
- Collect and process specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Obtain blood specimens via indwelling lines
- Perform limited CLIA-waived testing
- Enter and release laboratory orders
- Resolve specimen identification and order issues
- Contact patients for repeat collections as needed
- Prepare specimens for transport to alternate testing sites
- Perform EKGs, breath alcohol testing, drug screen collections, spirometry, and culture setup as assigned
- Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, and work areas
- Assist with training new employees and students
