Job Description:

Preferred Skills: Oracle ERP preferred if possible.
The Buyer/Planner position is a key role Supply Chain requiring an enthusiastic self-starter with drive to learn and improve existing processes where needed. This position will control the planning and execution of the material plan for every part. Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials for all manufacturing operations.

This position will focus on the following key areas: supply continuity, supplier on-time delivery, supplier management, inventory management and analysis, and cost reduction, achieving Cliented customer service levels

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor, manage, and track supplier on-time delivery through purchase order execution
• Lead the material replenishment process (Champion of Kanban process)
• Manage inventory to achieve yearly turn rate while improving customer service levels
• Develop and execute inventory plan based on forecast and product sales history while monitoring real-time material consumption taking corrective action when needed
• Develop and coordinate purchase agreements, generate purchase orders and in-house work orders
• Maintain purchase order status and tracking information, communicating to all internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
• Work cooperatively with other department representatives and vendors to resolve product delivery, inventory, and pricing discrepancies quickly and efficiently
• Ensure supplier selection, qualification, evaluation and monitoring process is maintained per SOP
• Responsible for maintaining strong supplier relationship to ensure quality standards, Client pricing, and on-time delivery of material is consistently achieved
• Continually improve time management, problem solving, critical thinking, and follow up skills
• Experience with Microsoft office products to develop spreadsheets and create general reports
• Assist sales and marketing to create supply schedules for new product launches
• All other duties assigned by immediate supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, or supply chain, or equivalent work experience preferred
• Demonstrably versed in MRP, Bills of Material, Customer Sales Support in a fast-paced manufacturing, multiple divisional environment
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Buyer/Planner
• Detailed, accurate, analytical, and metric driven
• AX 2012 ERP software experience preferred
• Strong negotiation skills
