Job Title: Maintenance Technician II – 3rd Shift
Job Location: Chantilly, VA- 20151
Duration: 3+ months of Contract with possible extension
Shift: Mon-Fri (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) EST
Note: Should be flexible for on-call for 24/7 emergency coverage in the building
Job Summary:
Responsible for keeping the facility in safe, working condition by performing general maintenance, repairs, and equipment upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic electrical repairs and assist with installing equipment
- Handle minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, installing fixtures, and clearing drains
- Carry out carpentry work including repairs to doors, floors, walls, and furniture
- Use hand and power tools safely and maintain them in good condition
- Assist with basic HVAC (air conditioning) maintenance and repairs
- Follow up on maintenance and quality issues to ensure timely resolution
- Support other maintenance tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in general building maintenance
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift:
- Frequently: up to 10 lbs
- Occasionally: up to 25 lbs
- Rarely: up to 50 lbs (assistance required for heavier items)
