Job Title: Trade Compliance Assistant
Job Location: Morrisville, NC
Job Duration: 6 Months (possibility of extension)
Job Summary:
This position supports the Trade Compliance team and the National Distribution Center in ensuring the timely and compliant distribution of medical devices. The role focuses on managing US Client A documentation, product classification, data management, and administrative support for tariff recovery and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
US Client A Compliance:
- Run Bills of Materials (BOM) to support classification and compliance activities
- Identify and request missing data from sites and vendors for proper item classification
- Verify availability of US Client A certifications in compliance folders for current year
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to obtain required documentation
- Compile and submit complete documentation packages for review
- Support determination of US Client A eligibility and certification issuance
US Client A Recovery:

Assist with administrative tasks related to identifying and highlighting US Client A opportunities for tariff recovery
MDG (Master Data Governance) Support:
- Prepare update sheets including catalog numbers and IPNs
- Upload data into MDG system and verify accuracy of updates
- Maintain and update off-system tracking notes/files as required
UPS Requests Support (Secondary):
- Validate item data within SAP and provide required information
- Support classification requests in coordination with internal teams
- Assist in streamlining request handling to improve team efficiency
Data & System Management:
- Download and manage entry package files from CASAS and UPS systems to internal servers
- Support data entry, reporting, and system updates within ERP platforms
General Trade Compliance Support:
- Assist in running reports and analyzing data from ERP systems
- Support Trade Compliance Specialists in tariff monitoring and recovery
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for product analysis
- Provide administrative and analytical support to compliance initiatives
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or some college coursework preferred (Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field)
- Relevant experience in data management, compliance support, or administrative roles is preferred
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
- Basic understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to trade compliance, customs, or US Client A processes
- Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or master data systems
