Job Location: Ocala, FL
Job Duration: 4 Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour or 10 hour shift between 5:00AM – 5:00PM, Rotational Saturdays.
Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.
- Demonstrates Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- May be assigned to a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
- Support organizational commitment and professionalism at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call schedules.

- Ability to adapt quickly to change and demonstrate business knowledge.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED.
Preferred Education:
- Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic training is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
