Job Title: Phlebotomist III – Floater
Location: Clifton, NJ
Duration: 3-Month Contract

Shift: Mon – Fri 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM & Every Other Sat 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25.74/hr On W2

 
Job Summary:

  • The Phlebotomist III – Floater serves as the face of the organization by providing exceptional patient care and specimen collection services. This role is responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen processing while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and patient confidentiality. The successful candidate will travel between multiple locations as needed and work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, forensic, and clinical specimen collections.
  • Accurately collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient demographics and obtain required patient signatures following specimen collection.
  • Ensure all specimens are collected and handled according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) and physician office locations as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Promote a professional image of the organization with patients, clients, and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including:
    • Pediatrics collections
    • Geriatric collections
    • Capillary collections
  • Strong venipuncture and specimen processing skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule with availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments as needed.
  • Ability to travel and provide coverage at multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Commitment to quality, patient safety, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
