Position Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in delivering a positive patient experience. This position is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and safety standards. The PSR II builds trust and confidence with patients by providing clear explanations, maintaining professionalism, and performing specimen collection accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and obtain required signatures following venipuncture.
• Ensure specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient's presence.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy of patient information.
• Support process excellence and demonstrate leadership behaviors.
