Patient Services Representative I (Phlebotomist)
Location: Miami, FL
Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–1:00 PM; Every Saturday, 5:00 AM–10:00 AM (Eastern Time)
Duration: 6 Months
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality while creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collection and specimen processing accurately and efficiently.
- Follow established clinical and forensic collection procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate procedures clearly to patients.
- Support organizational goals and maintain a positive company image.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required); 1+ year preferred.
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood draws preferred.
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or related medical training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call schedules as needed.
- Customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service environment preferred.
