Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Timings:
- Training Period: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Post-Training Schedule:
- Wednesday – Friday: 5:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Job Summary
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism and compassion. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for testing, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality while fostering a positive and trustworthy patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and label specimens according to established protocols.
- Ensure all specimens are handled, processed, and stored correctly for laboratory testing.
- Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient data entry.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection following required procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Adhere to company standards for quality, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Work independently under the direction of the area supervisor to meet daily goals.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.

Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Experience in customer service or patient-facing roles (Preferred)
- Prior experience with data entry and documentation (Required)
