Job Title: Corewell Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Grosse Pointe, MI
Job Duration: 2-3 Months of contract
Shift: Mon-Fri 10:00 am – 06:30 pm

Pay rate: $24/hr on W2

Job Description:

• Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking healthcare services, either for routine care or critical health decisions.
• The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
• This position involves direct patient interaction, where the PSR I ensure a trusting and confident environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner.
• The PSR I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and precision in patient information.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
• Confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, adhering to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image of the company and provide excellent service to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

 
Job Requirements:

• Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Flexible and available for various shifts based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

 
Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

 
Work Experience:

• A minimum of 6 months of experience is required.
