The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and professionalism while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection for clinical and forensic testing
- Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain patient records and required documentation
- Provide a safe, professional, and patient-friendly experience
- Follow established procedures and quality standards
- Support daily operations with minimal supervision
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy, medical assistant, or paramedic training preferred
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience; 1+ year preferred
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood draws preferred
- Strong customer service and data entry skills
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call if needed
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA)
