Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Clayton, NC 
Job Duration: 4-5 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00am – 4:00pm; Monday – Friday, rotate Saturday

Job Description

The PSR II is responsible for drawing blood specimens from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with established procedures. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and helps create a professional, calm, and trustworthy experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples (venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric)
• Prepare and process specimens for lab testing
• Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling in the patient’s presence
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Follow all safety, confidentiality, and company procedures
• Provide professional, courteous patient interaction at all times
• Work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• May work across multiple locations with short notice as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience (required)
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients (required)
• Strong customer service skills preferred
• Basic computer/data entry skills required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel required)
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states)

Work Environment

• On-site role (not remote)
• Fast-paced patient service or clinical setting
• May involve rotating between multiple sites
