Job Title: Phlebotomist III – Floater

Job Duration: 8 months (possible extension)  
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay rate: $22.95 – 24.48/hr. on W2

Position Summary

The Patient Services Representative III (PSR III) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed accurately, safely, and in compliance with established protocols.

The PSR III builds trust and confidence with patients by providing exceptional customer service, explaining procedures clearly, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Assignments may include work at patient service centers, physician offices, or other locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections.
• Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Verify patient identity and demographic information prior to collection.
• Ensure specimens are accurately labeled and obtain patient verification when required.
• Maintain required documentation and records.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Promote a positive and professional image with patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
• Support multiple locations as needed and provide coverage with minimal notice.
• Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to process excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• At least 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry experience required.
