Pay Rate- $17-$18
Job Description:
– Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policies
– Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues
-** Communicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and training
– Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areas
Required Skills:
– High attention to detail and accuracy
– Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis
– Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systems
– Ability to approach change with a positive mindset
– Ability to identify and implement process improvements
– Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
– Mature candidates who can handle confidential information
Desired Skills:
– Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax
– Experience maintaining confidential information
– Proficiency with SAP
– Experience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System)
Education:
Associate or bachelor s degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experience.
