UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Department of Nutrition is implementing two exciting research studies–the All of Us Research Program and the first All of Us ancillary study, Nutrition for Precision Health (NPH). All of Us is a unique research program funded by the NIH to build one of the most diverse health databases in history to recruit at least one million participants nationwide. A subset of All of Us participants will also be recruited into Nutrition for Precision Health, powered by the All of Us Research Program with the study goal of developing algorithms that predict individual responses to food and dietary patterns. The UNC Clinical Center (UNC-CC) is one of six clinical centers across the country that will recruit a diverse cohort of adults from rural and urban communities and implement the All of Us and NPH study protocols to study variability in physiologic responses to diet.

Join our team as we work on these innovative studies. Working in coordination with onsite research staff, this person will be responsible for a variety of duties including management of liquid and regular meal tolerance tests and assessment of participant safety. Specific duties are included below but may vary depending on the needs of the study.
Placement and accessing of IVs to allow for repeated blood collection.
Clinical review and participant communication regarding safety assessments (eligibility and adverse events)
Perform venipuncture as needed
Follow detailed study protocol and collect the nine timed samples via IV within a 3-5 minute window of the time Client
Data collection including providing reminders and instructions to study participants according to the study protocol
Assist with other study activities to ensure the successful completion of the study aims
Requirements:
-Must be licensed as an RN, LPN, or AEMT in the state of North Carolina.
Preferred:
-At least 6 months of previous experience with IV insertion and drawing blood.
