Gross Weekly Pay: $2,923.49/Week
Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,363.49/Week
W2 Hourly: $39.00/Hour
Job Summary:
- Under the general supervision of the Radiology leadership team, the CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
- The technologist is responsible for patient preparation, image acquisition, contrast administration, radiation safety, documentation, and maintaining quality standards.
- The role may also include performing general diagnostic radiology examinations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Explain procedures to patients, review clinical history, and prepare patients for imaging.
- Position patients accurately and operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer intravenous contrast media, including the use of power injectors, while monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Review and confirm imaging protocols with the radiologist when necessary.
- Assist radiologists during sterile and image-guided procedures, including biopsies.
- Follow ALARA principles and radiation safety guidelines to minimize patient exposure.
- Ensure image quality and successfully transmit studies to PACS.
- Complete study documentation, indexing, and workflow in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Prepare procedure rooms and maintain adequate supplies and sterile equipment.
- Accurately document patient information to support clinical care and billing.
- Deliver exceptional patient care through effective communication, teamwork, professionalism, and customer service.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current ARRT (R) certification required.
- ARRT (CT) certification or registry-eligible in Computed Tomography required.
- Current BLS certification.
Skills:
- Ability to perform CT imaging independently while ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Experience with intravenous contrast administration and power injectors.
- Knowledge of PACS, RIS, radiation safety, and CT imaging protocols.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
