Location: Hollywood, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Possible Extension)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II – Float to join our team in Hollywood, FL. This role serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while performing high-quality specimen collection and processing services. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and the flexibility to travel between multiple patient service locations as needed.
The Phlebotomist II will interact directly with patients, establish trust and confidence, explain procedures clearly, and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient blood collection while maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, forensic, and clinical specimen collection procedures following established protocols.
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring specimen integrity and accurate labeling.
- Verify patient identification, demographic information, and obtain patient signatures as required.
- Ensure all specimens are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data entry related to specimen collection and processing.
- Follow established safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.
- Create a positive and professional environment for patients, clients, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and support process excellence initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding collection procedures and testing requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Travel between multiple Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and physician office locations to provide coverage based on business needs.
- Perform daily responsibilities independently with minimal supervision while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including:
- Pediatric collections
- Geriatric collections
- Capillary collections
- Strong specimen collection, processing, and labeling experience.
- Excellent customer service and patient interaction skills.
- Proficiency with keyboarding and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to travel between multiple locations with short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service environment strongly preferred.

- Travel is required between multiple locations as part of the Float role.
- Mileage reimbursement is available for eligible travel between assigned sites.
- Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
