Job Title: Clinical Resource Nurse (Behavioral Health Unit)
Location: Muskogee, OK 74401
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Nights | Saturday & Sunday | 6:45 PM β 7:15 AM (12.5-hour shifts) | Guaranteed 2 shifts/week with opportunity to pick up additional shifts
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide professional psychiatric nursing care to patients with psychiatric and emotional disorders.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering age, cultural, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized multidisciplinary treatment plans.
- Build therapeutic relationships and provide psychosocial support.
- Coordinate physical nursing care and behavioral health interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, including test and examination results.
- Facilitate discharge planning through patient education and appropriate referrals.
- Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, and variance reporting.
- Exercise independent clinical judgment in patient care decisions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of related RN experience.
- Current Oklahoma RN License or Multistate Compact RN License.
- BLS Certification.
- Experience using Epic EMR.
- Knowledge of disease state management, biopsychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
- Strong assessment, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and analyze clinical data.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
Preferences:
- Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Nursing experience.
- Experience with de-escalation techniques.
- Previous psychiatric inpatient or geriatric psychiatry experience.
