Radiology Tech / X-Ray Tech
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift/Schedule: Day | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Fri/Sat/Sun
On-Call: 1–2 call shifts per month
Pay Details:
Gross Weekly Pay: $2,470.05/Week
Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,354.05/Week
W2 Hourly: $31.00/Hour
Job Summary:
- Under the supervision of the Radiology leadership team, the Radiographer performs diagnostic radiologic procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- The technologist provides safe, high-quality patient care while utilizing specialized imaging equipment in accordance with department protocols and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
- Review physician orders and correlate patient history with requested exams.
- Operate radiographic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Transfer images to PACS and complete all required documentation.
- Perform operator-level quality control and routine equipment maintenance.
- Follow radiation safety principles (ALARA) and infection prevention protocols.
- Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in continuing education and departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience Required:
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology/X-Ray experience preferred.
- Level I Trauma experience required.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
Certifications / Licensure Required:
- ARRT (R) (Radiography)
- AHA BLS Certification
