Hours: 20 hours per week

Job Description

The Packaging Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and publishing packaging specifications, standards, and related documentation while ensuring compliance with established processes and electronic publishing standards. The role supports Packaging Engineers and cross-functional teams by managing documentation, maintaining specification systems, and ensuring document accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Publish specifications, standards, and other technical documents according to established publishing processes and electronic publishing standards.
  • Perform document quality control checks and promptly communicate document issues while coordinating resolution.
  • Provide day-to-day documentation support for the Packaging Engineering team.
  • Create, modify, and maintain packaging specifications and standards.
  • Support Packaging Engineers with specification management systems.
  • Track document changes and develop department reporting.
  • Support document conversion activities for new products.
  • Assist with Packaging Artwork Change Management using the ePADEx system.
  • Provide SAP-related documentation support.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable SOPs, regulatory requirements, policies, and guidance documents.
  • Support additional departmental projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience originating Packaging Specifications.
  • Experience working as an Originator in the Enovia Digital System (Enovia credentials/training required).
  • Experience creating and maintaining packaging specifications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office:
  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • TOPS
  • Familiarity with general office practices and document management.
  • Ability to create, format, revise, retrieve, and store business documents.
  • Strong typing, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including:
  • Art
  • SGS
  • Regulatory
  • Quality Assurance (QA)
  • MPD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Procter & Gamble (P&G) work systems.
  • Experience with:
  • SMART Clearances
  • ILST Digitization
  • Label and Artwork processes
  • Packaging laboratory activities

Education

  • A four-year degree is not required.

  • Relevant experience in packaging specification creation is required.
