Title: RN Cath Lab
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Schedule Notes: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM. 3x12s (36hrs). No weekends or holidays unless on-call (on-call required).
Pay Range: $67/HR ON W2 TO $72/HR ON W2
Duties:
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Experience:
- Critical care experience highly preferred.
- Prior experience with EPIC and Sensis highly preferred.
- Must have Cath Lab experience.
- Must be able to function as an intra procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI.
- Prefer experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave and other various atherectomy devices.
- Preferred: Vascular and/or Neuro diagnostic and interventions.
- Must be willing to cover on-call for the CCL.
- Minimal coverage would need to include supporting cardiac procedures off hours and on the weekends.
- On call would likely be every 5 weeks or so depending on staffing demands. Subject to change.
Requirements:
- ASN Required.
- BSN Preferred.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- ACLS & BLS AHA.
- Telemetry Test.
