Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team in Rogers, AR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compliance with established procedures. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and specimen collections following established procedures.
- Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient identity and demographic information before specimen collection.
- Obtain patient initials/signatures after venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and required records.
- Ensure specimen integrity while adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Explain collection procedures and provide a positive patient experience.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) and physician office locations as needed.
- Perform duties accurately and efficiently under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in CA, NV, and WA).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record if travel is required.
Required Experience:
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
- Experience with Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections required.
- Previous experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) preferred.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
- Basic keyboard and data entry skills.
