Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Job Location: Salinas, CA
Job Duration: 14 week Contract
Shift: Days | 8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $3700 to $4000/weekly
Job Description:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with ACR, MQSA, and Radiation Safety standards.
- Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations.
- Assist Radiologists with needle localization, stereotactic biopsies, and galactograms.
- Review physician orders and patient history prior to imaging procedures.
- Educate patients on procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Operate mammography equipment while following radiation safety guidelines.
- Perform quality assurance activities related to mammography and bone density equipment.
- Prepare imaging studies for timely interpretation by the Radiologist.
- Report changes in patient condition and assist with emergency care when needed.
- Assist with patient scheduling and departmental workflow.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 6–12 months of recent Epic EMR experience (within the past year).
- Experience performing mammography procedures.
- Experience with bone density (DEXA) imaging.
- Experience assisting with needle localization, stereotactic biopsy, and galactogram procedures.

Education:
- Completion of a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current CRT (R)(M) License.
- Current ARRT (R) Registration.
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience as a licensed Mammography Technologist.
