Pay Travel: $2550 – $2900 Gross weekly
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – ACCU (ICU) to join a leading acute care hospital in Moreno Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU experience in an acute care setting and be skilled in providing high-quality critical care to patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions throughout each shift.
- Administer medications safely using the Seven Rights of Medication Administration.
- Perform critical nursing procedures using sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic data, and diagnostic results.
- Communicate patient status changes promptly using SBAR handoff communication.
- Manage critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced interventions.
- Follow hospital protocols for sepsis, ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), pressure injury prevention, central line care, and early mobility.
- Administer and monitor blood transfusions, pain management, and sedation protocols.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient outcomes in the EMR.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Conscious Sedation experience
- Recent ICU/Critical Care RN experience in an acute care hospital
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills
