Duration: 5+ Months (Potential for Extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay rate: $19/Hr on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Tallmadge, OH. As a Patient Services Representative I (PSR I), you will serve as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while performing specimen collection and processing duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures using established phlebotomy techniques and protocols.
• Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient information and maintain specimen integrity throughout the collection process.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and help create a comfortable, trusting environment.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information while ensuring confidentiality.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.
• Work independently while managing daily responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
• Demonstrate professionalism and promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
• Support organizational goals by exhibiting leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • Certification is required for candidates working in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Experience

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience drawing blood from pediatric and geriatric patients preferred.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
• Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
