Job Title: RN – SICU/MICU
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 03 months Contract
Schedule: DAY SHIFT 7am-7:30pm, eow
Hourly rate: $58/hour on W2 (Negotiable)
Position

• Clinical Nurse (Registered Nurse)
• Provides safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and manages patient care using the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Apply critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Prioritize patient care, education, rounding, discharge planning, and delegation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, transition of care, and health promotion.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Establish therapeutic relationships and deliver compassionate, respectful care.
• Perform purposeful hourly rounding and support positive patient experiences.
• Identify and escalate patient safety concerns and clinical risks.
• Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in EPIC.
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
• Support patient throughput, staffing, supplies, and resource management.

Required Qualifications

• Active NYS RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• 2 years ICU experience
• EPIC experience

Unit & Schedule

• 24-bed unit
• Average census: 17 patients
• Staffing ratio: 1:2
• 3 × 12-hour shifts
• Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
