Travel CT/Radiology Technologist – Days

Job Summary
The CT/Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic CT and radiologic examinations under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and imaging protocols. The technologist ensures patient safety, obtains quality diagnostic images, and works collaboratively with radiologists and the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
- Obtain and update patient medical history and assess relevant risk factors.
- Explain procedures, including potential risks, benefits, and follow-up instructions.
- Prepare imaging equipment and perform CT and radiologic examinations according to established protocols.
- Review images for quality and communicate relevant findings or exceptions to the radiologist.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
- Provide physician-directed post-procedure instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow department protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient flow, reject/repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Provide guidance and education to students, residents, and new technologists.
- Perform Radiologic Technologist duties as needed.
- Participate in call/standby coverage as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT and Radiology experience.
- Must be able to work independently.
- ARRT certification in CT and Radiology required; certifications must be attached to submission.
- Active Florida Radiology/CT license required; license must be attached to submission.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required; certification must be attached to submission.
- Experience with GE CT and X-ray equipment required.
- Availability for occasional 12-hour night call.
- Weekend call availability is preferred.
