Job Title: ENTRY Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Ruskin, FL
Duration: 5 months (possible extension)
Shift: Monday-Friday 6A-3P
Summary:
The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) assists with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and addressing any questions or concerns with care and compassion. This role involves maintaining the integrity of the waiting area and assisting with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. The individual will utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company. The ENTRY PSR I engages directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining the scheduled procedures safely and accurately. Excellence in customer care is demonstrated with a focus on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Show willingness to learn new skills.
Required Skills:
- Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to cover breaks.
- Confidence in performing both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- High level of customer service experience/skills is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience is required.
- Some Phlebotomy experience is required.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
