Senior Accountant

Title: Sr Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX 75234 – Hybrid 3 days in office
Contract: 2-3 months intended until FT found, but could extend to 6 months
Work hours: 20-30/week
Note – Open to Temp to Perm if the right resource is found
Specific Skills Needed:
Top 3-5 mandatory and/or minimum requirements
1) Knowledge of IFRS 16 accounting guidelines and/or Lease Abstraction experience
2) Undergraduate (or beyond) degree in accounting
3) Proven ability to critically think/problem solve and multi-task
4) Detail oriented
5) Good communication skills
Top 3-5 desirable attributes/qualifications?
1) SAP Experience
2) CPA Candidate
3) Retail Experience
4) Proficient in Excel
Required levels/ Years of Experience education – discuss whether there is flexibility
3-5 or more preferred but can be flexible if specialized in Lease Abstraction over a shorter time and in a comparable industry
This role handles application of IFRS 16 accounting principle to more than 2,700 locations resulting in a balance sheet impact of over ***B. As a result it is highly visible and requires a specific skillset that we have thus far not been able to find FT in the market despite searching (via Talent Acquisition) for 6 months. While we have been able to use internal resources in that time, with other projects and the regular responsibilities the associate currently handling the responsibilities is at risk of burnout, so we are needing a temporary solution to alleviate the bandwidth issues until a FT solution is found. We simply cannot afford to continue asking associates to work the amount of hours required to cover this desk.
