Job Title: Medical Assistant

Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced outpatient healthcare facility in Sarasota, FL. This role serves as the first point of contact for patient care and is responsible for both clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong back-office experience, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Discuss patient symptoms and document information in EMR systems
- Administer injections and assist with diagnostic testing
- Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy/blood draws
- Sterilize and clean medical equipment
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms
- Support physicians and nurses with direct patient care
- Manage administrative and operational support tasks
- Ensure accurate patient documentation and records management
- Deliver high-quality patient experiences in a fast-paced clinical environment
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience in back-office direct patient care
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Active RMA or CMA certification/license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in high-volume healthcare settings
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Willingness to complete TB screening requirements.
