Principal Duties:

Job Summary:

The Data Center Operations Technician will be team oriented individuals who will be responsible for installation and de-installation of network devices, monitor Z10 mainframe environment and peripherals. They will verify connectivity of all devices and also troubleshoot any reconnection issues. They will also be responsible for recording the assets that are assigned to a user.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Installation of network devices and cable management systems
• Provide technical support to our network owner/user community
• Maintain and update an accurate documentation of Service Desk trouble tickets
• Monitor System interfaces and other communication utilities and take proper action
• Install/Rack Servers
• Add Memory, H/D, Network Interface Cards, CPU etc.
• Install KVM and In-Rack PDU
• Monitor/Maintain all Servers in the Data Center
• Familiarization with a large-scale IBM Z10 mainframe environment
• IPL, TSO, MVS, Jes2, CA7
• IBM 4000, IBM 6500 Canon VS 4400
• Service Now Ticketing System
• Asset Management
• Back up Daily/Monthly tapes for offsite storage
• Inventory
• Perform all other related duties
