Shift Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM & 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM & 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday, Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM & 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist I to join our team in Batavia Township, OH. In this role, you will serve as the face of the organization by providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality specimen collection services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring an excellent patient experience through professionalism, accuracy, and compassion.
The Phlebotomist I will work independently while adhering to established procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Collect, process, and prepare clinical and forensic specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate specimen labeling and documentation.
- Maintain required records, logs, and patient documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Create a positive patient experience by explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns professionally.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills while maintaining patient comfort and confidence.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Perform daily activities accurately and within established timeframes.
- Promote a positive company image among patients, clients, employees, and the community.
- Support process excellence initiatives and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or other medical training preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred (required where applicable by state regulations).
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood draws preferred.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience required.
