Job Title: Dietitian
Location: Bolivar, TN 38008
Duration: 49 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (7.5 hours/day)
Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement therapeutic diets and menus for patients.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy to prevent and treat diseases and health conditions.
• Assess patient nutritional status using medical records, nutrition history, laboratory values, anthropometric data, and food intake records.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition counseling and patient/family education.
• Calculate caloric, protein, fluid, BMI, and other nutritional requirements.
• Evaluate and adjust menus to meet therapeutic dietary needs.
• Serve as a nutrition consultant to physicians and nursing staff.
• Monitor and improve patients’ nutritional status through ongoing assessments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Home Economics (Food), or a closely related field from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 3 years of professional dietetics experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Dietitian.
• Graduate coursework in dietetics, nutrition, home economics (food), or a related field may substitute for 1 year of the required non-specialized experience.
• Experience with medical nutrition therapy and therapeutic diet planning.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, scope of practice, and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience in acute and rehabilitative care preferred.
