Position Type: 4-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join a fast-paced patient service team. In this role, you will provide high-quality specimen collection services while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate has strong venipuncture skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working with patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections accurately and safely.
- Prepare, process, label, and handle specimens according to established procedures.
- Verify patient identity and demographic information before specimen collection.
- Obtain patient signatures and ensure specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient’s presence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all laboratory policies and procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collections when required.
- Work independently while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Travel to multiple patient service centers or physician offices as needed.
- Support team operations by adapting to changing business and staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including:
- Pediatric collections
- Geriatric collections
- Capillary collections
- Strong venipuncture and specimen processing skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification (required only in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC).
- Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.
Additional Requirements
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts when required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if travel is required.
- Willingness to travel between multiple work locations with minimal notice.
