Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization’s systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems.
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• May lead and direct the work of others.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

• Experience building highly available servers end to end. strong understanding of end-to-end stack including tools and agents.
• Ability to coordinate technical experts to complete work. ability to solve problems and quickly switch tasks.
• Ability to oversee a large number of server builds in various stages.

Team size:

• 15-20 team members in direct team; larger matrixed team

Key aspects of the role:

• Building servers at each layer of the stack on industry standard operating systems with software and various tools

Day-to-day Expectations:

• Execute, test, track and deliver new server builds

30-60-90 Day Expectation:

• 30 days onboard and train then begin delivery. 90 days ability to train new resources.

Interview Plan/Process:

• Screen resumes, possibly panel interviews
• Searching for experience with IBM AIX, Linux, WebSphere and Oracle. These individuals will be highly skilled technical coordinators
