Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with rotating Saturdays
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $22.90 – $28.30/hr On W2
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) to join our team in Concord, CA. This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood collection procedures, specimen processing, and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent venipuncture skills, strong customer service abilities, and experience working with patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using established procedures.
- Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate demographic information before specimen collection.
- Explain collection procedures to patients while maintaining professionalism and patient comfort.
- Maintain specimen integrity and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection as required.
- Complete all required documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
- Support multiple collection sites and work flexible schedules as business needs require.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
- Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
- Experience with Pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
- Basic computer and keyboard/data entry proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
- Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.
